Designer and founder Rikke Hagen graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design in 1998. Rikke Hagen also started her own glass-studio, Hagenglas in 1998.

For more than 10 years she created unique pieces and worked with glass constantly challenging the material in contrast to other materials. Rikke Hagen’s highly developed search for designs and understanding of material derives from the everyday pleasure of working from craftsmanship.

Demand for Rikke Hagen’s expertice and industrial design grew. Over the years her portfolio also included more and product design for various design brands. So in 2004 Rikke Hagen founded the design studio copen hagen.

In 2013 Rikke Hagen topped her close to 20 years of design development and knowledge of massproduction with a masters in processing design strategy and product development.
