Rikke Hagen
Designer and founder Rikke Hagen got her first master-graduate from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design in 1998. Upon graduation she set-up her glass-studio, Hagenglas in 1998.
Constantly challenging traditional craftsmanship working with mouthblown and casted glass, often in contrast to other materials Rikke Hagen created unique pieces and limited series for more than a decade. Demand for Rikke Hagen’s expertise grew as her limited series transformed into industrial designs launched globally by esteemed Danish Brands. Over the years her portfolio included more and more product and funiture design for various design brands.
Eventually Rikke Hagen closed the glass-studio and founded her design studio, Hagen Etc. in 2013.
But even today Rikke Hagen’s curiosity and search for designs, color and understanding of material derives from the everyday joy of working hands full with genuine craftsmanship.
Rikke Hagen post-graduated in 2013 with her second master from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts doing theoretical studies in the methodology in design development management for mass-production. Her masters focusing on processing design strategy and product development.
